26.06.2009 - Toon Mondelaars
Vrijdag 26 juni zal ik één dag hongerstaken in solidariteit met de Mensen Zonder Papieren.
Voor Turtelboom en voor de regering telt maar één ding: de economische wetten goed naleven en wie daar niet in past moet maar terug naar eigen land of creperen.
Zo'n houding is voor elke humanist onaanvaardbaar. De economie moet in dienst staan van de mens en niet omgekeerd!
Vrijdag zal ik dus vasten om samen met velen druk uit te oefenen op de regering en vooral op Turtelboom.
Met grote eerbied voor de inspanningen van de Mensen Zonder Papieren,

On June 20, 2009 a group of citizens met in front of the Begijnhof Church in Brussels, where 230 "sans papiers" had just suspended their 80 days-long hunger strike the night before.
To draw the attention of the government to the lack of clear guidelines concerning the regularization of immigrants, several people decided to give up food for one day and delivered a series of video messages that have been gathered in the posts here below.
